Fronture Technologies

Agile Evolution & Enterprise SDLC Modernization

Client

A US-based provider of Enterprise Business Management Solutions specifically serving Law Firms and Professional Services. Fronture Technologies has been actively working with this client since 2012.

CHALLENGE

The client was struggling with a fragmented software development lifecycle (SDLC). They relied on a mix of legacy systems, including SourceSafe, StarTeam, and MS Project, which caused significant bottlenecks in release management. The lack of a unified system resulted in poor visibility across teams and inefficient enterprise operations.

SOLUTION

Fronture Technologies executed a comprehensive modernization strategy focused on Agile implementation and systems integration:

Workflow Consolidation

The team consolidated the fragmented workflows into Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) paired with CRM On-Demand (CRMOD).

Custom Migration Tools

Fronture developed custom tools to migrate source code and change requests from the legacy systems, ensuring specific product needs were met

Cloud Evolution

In a subsequent phase, the workflow was migrated from TFS to Azure DevOps, with Fronture handling the administration of the platform.

Automation

The team implemented automated build pipelines that included integration and smoke testing to streamline development

Result

The tools we’ve built for the client have pushed them a long way. Previously they only operated in 1 city in Ireland but now they operate in 12 cities within that country. We have even helped them to boost their sales. On an average, they receive more than a thousand orders daily.

We are very glad to be a part of the journey to our client’s growth but it’s not over yet. Our constant effort is there to provide a stable experience to our client and it’s customers. And we are still working on fulfilling the goal of the client which is to make the system fully automated and eliminate human inputs as much as possible. Our next step is to integrate AI to the system to avoid human decision making. Tasks are stacking in our backlog and we anticipate even bigger changes in the client’s product.
